And then there’s the fact that some photographers might see these “smart” features as unnecessary gimmicks. After all, part of what makes photography so enjoyable is being able to control every aspect of your shot yourself – from choosing which aperture setting to use down to manually focusing on your subject.
Of course, only time will tell whether or not smart lenses will catch on among professional photographers and hobbyists alike. But one thing’s for sure – if they do become popular, we can expect to see some truly amazing images captured with these cutting-edge pieces of technology.
