House Republicans Continue Investigations into Biden Family's Finances, 18 Hearings Held and Seven Bills Passed

Representative Andy Biggs took to Twitter to announce the progress made by the House in their investigations into the Biden family’s financial records. According to his tweet, 18 hearings have been held with 16 government witnesses and over 125 investigative letters sent. Additionally, seven bills have passed the House, one of which has been signed into law.

It is important to note that these investigations are not new. The scrutiny of Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China began during President Trump’s impeachment inquiry last year. However, Republicans continue to push for further investigations into potential conflicts of interest involving Joe Biden and his son.

Democrats argue that these efforts are politically motivated and a distraction from more pressing issues facing the country such as COVID-19 relief and racial justice reform. They also point out that previous investigations have found no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe or Hunter Biden.

Regardless, Rep. Biggs seems determined to press on with his party’s investigation into the Bidens’ finances. As he writes in his tweet, “We’re just getting started.”
