Street art has become an increasingly popular form of artistic expression worldwide. From small alleyways to the sides of towering skyscrapers, street art can be found in just about every corner of any city. Here are 15 examples of incredible street art that will inspire you and your students.
1) The mural on the side of a building in East London by famous artist Banksy is one of his most iconic works. It depicts two children embracing each other while wearing gas masks, making a statement about the effects of war on innocent civilians.
2) In Brooklyn, New York, there is an entire block dedicated to street art known as the Bushwick Collective. Artists from all over the world come here to showcase their work on walls and buildings along this stretch.
3) Shepard Fairey’s “Hope” poster became an iconic symbol during Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008. This image can still be seen as graffiti or stickers throughout many cities today.
4) Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra created a massive mural in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympics depicting five faces representing different continents and cultures coming together in unity.

13) In Bristol, England there are several works by Banksy including “Girl With A Balloon,” which depicts a young girl reaching out for her red heart-shaped balloon that has floated away in the wind. It has become one of Banksy’s most recognizable pieces.
