Juice Fasting: A Comical Journey to Health
Juice fasting is the latest craze in the health and wellness industry, and I decided to give it a try. As a writer and journalist, I love trying out new things that are trending in the market, especially when it comes to my health. So here’s my comical journey through juice fasting.
Day 1:
I was excited about starting my juice fast journey, but as soon as I took my first sip of green juice, reality struck me hard! It tasted like grass mixed with pond water. The smell alone made me want to gag. But since I had already committed myself to this challenge, I forced myself to drink it all up.
By lunchtime, not only was I starving (despite having consumed five juices), but also annoyed by every single person who walked past me eating something delicious – from pizza slices dripping with cheese grease to chicken drumsticks oozing with flavor.
By dinner time, I felt weak and irritable. My energy levels plummeted throughout the day despite consuming multiple juices filled with nutrients.
Day 2:
I woke up feeling hungry even though technically speaking; I shouldn’t have been because of all those liquids from yesterday. However, after drinking two glasses of warm lemon water followed by a glass of beetroot juice for breakfast (yuck!), things started looking up slightly.
The mid-day slump hit me hard again today around noon; however, instead of reaching for an afternoon snack or coffee pick-me-up like usual days at work would permit me too- not during this fast- so instead sipped on a cold pressed carrot/apple concoction that did nothing more than make mule bray sounds come outta my stomach!
Dinner time rolled around tonight while satiating enough – consisting mostly of soup broth- didn’t leave any lasting impact either way except for maybe making one feel satisfied temporarily before hunger pangs started to set in again.
Day 3:
On day three, I woke up feeling light and energetic – a new experience after two days of feeling lethargic. The juices had finally kickstarted my body into gear! However, the taste of green juice still bothered me every time I took a sip. But something was different today; maybe it’s because I knew what to expect.
I felt much better than before and even got more work done than usual. My mind felt clear, and my energy levels were stable throughout the day.
I broke my fast that night with a bowl of vegetable soup and some crackers instead of diving right back into solid food like pizza or burgers (which trust me on day one seemed like heaven).
Conclusion:
Juice fasting is not for everyone; it takes willpower, patience, and endurance to make it through those first few days. However, once you get past that hump- you may just find yourself feeling lighter on your feet while enjoying an increased sense of clarity overall.
It also helps to have delicious-tasting juices since any negative feelings surrounding drinking them can quickly derail any progress made during the regimen. In conclusion: this trend might be worth trying out if looking for quick results without long-term commitments but be prepared for challenging moments along the way!
