But accommodations aren’t just limited to education settings; they’re essential across all aspects of life including employment and public spaces. Employers must make reasonable accommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) if it won’t cause undue hardship on the business.
This could mean providing a sign language interpreter for an employee who is deaf or modifying the work schedule to accommodate medical appointments. Public spaces must also be accessible, including wheelchair ramps and braille signage.
