For example during COVID-19 pandemic outbreak last year; over 44 thousand guardsmen were activated nationwide providing crucial support including medical care assistance & logistics support distribution among others which was key factor towards flattening out curves within hardest hit states.
Additionally, The National Guard has also played a vital role in community policing and maintaining law and order during the recent civil unrest across some cities across America. They have served as a bridge between protesters and law enforcement agencies, ensuring that peaceful demonstrations remain safe while still upholding the rule of law.
