This report reveals that numerous countries still experience violent acts towards minority religions despite the existence of protective laws against these types of actions.
Salman Rushdie was physically assaulted after publishing his novel “The Satanic Verses” due to his depiction of Islam. The Iranian government called for his assassination, and he was forced to live under police protection.
